National contest of Choreography

The big news of the 3rd Wroclaw Salsa Festival is the National Contest of choreography, organized by Universo Salsero. The event will take place in different cities of Poland during Januray and February 2010 and that will have the final during the Friday night party at the festival.
The contest is open, that means that everybody can take part on it, amateur and professional dancers. It’s not possible to participate alone, but every team has to be a minimum of 2 dancers (there is no maximum). The choreography can be maximum 4 minutes long and at least 75% of the time has to be salsa music.
The choreography presented at the contest can’t have been already performed in any kind of dance festival, it must be exclusive for the 3rd Wroclaw Salsa Festival.
The cost of partecipation is 30 zl per couple, 60 zl per team with 3 or 4 dancers, or 80 zl for bigger teams.To register you have to send an email with the title "Competition" to info@universosalsero.com, including full names of each of the dancer and the name of the team and/or of the dance school to which they belong, before January 15th.
The eliminatory will take place in different cities of Poland and the winners (that in case of many participants in the same city could be more than 1) will get access to the final at the Wroclaw Salsa Festival. Every team has to participate at the eliminatory in the city to which they belongs or, if they live in another city they can chose one city, but no team can participate in more than 1 eliminatory before the final.
All finalists will get the Friday night party’s ticket for the Wroclaw Salsa Festival and the winners of the competition will get the cup, plus the invitation as artists to the 4th Wroclaw Salsa Festival, plus full passes for the Roma Salsa Festival for all dancers and two airplane tickets from Poland to Rome (double ways) during the weekend of that festival. Some more prices will be also for the second and third classified.
